SPECIAL ISSUE of e-VALBEC:

Minimum fees
The previous eVALBEC (Dec 1) carried information about the minimum fees list and VALBEC is bringing you up to date with this extra eVALBEC because of the seriousness of the issue.
VALBEC believes that the proposed new fee structure requiring students who do not hold a health care card or pension card to pay full fees, will actively discourage participation in such courses for those not eligible for a concession fee.
VALBEC conducted a survey of 900 students from 21 RTOs (TAFE institutes, some of which are multi campus, community learning centres and neighbourhood houses, some of which are multi site) from rural, regional and metropolitan Victoria).
What will be the impact? What can you do? See the PDF (Acrobat) attachment which is also available from http://www.valbec.org.au
Merry Christmas
