The new CGEA in focus - Pre conference Practical Matters workshop

You can attend this workshop regardless of whether you are attending the conference but you must register using the conference registration form.
These sessions are FREE but preference will be given to VALBEC members

The sessions will be practitioner led working groups focussing on particular areas of interest with the new CGEA implementation. The sessions will be repeated so that participants can share knowledge and expertise and engage in a second area of interest.
Working groups will be focusing on:
• Planning courses – examples from ACE and TAFE settings with formats/ templates as a starting point for practitioners to work together to brainstorm, adapt and apply
• Developing a Learning Plan – looking at models, how to document and possible ways to integrate into class activities
• Student record keeping - Ways of recording learning outcomes in an integrated way will also be explored…
• Importing Training Package units – how to access the NTIS and a ‘form guide’ approach to developing courses at appropriate levels
VALBEC members Dianne Parslow, CAE; Lisa Bartels, VU; Jacinta Agostinelli, Glenroy Neighbourhood Learning Centre; Pauline Morrow, Kangan TAFE and Denise Reynolds, NMIT, will facilitate the working groups.
What to bring: Materials that you have developed or have used in the past that can be shared (10 copies)
